Activated Carbon

Doped activated carbon

Standard varieties of activated carbon used for removing hydrogen sulphide (H2S) from a gas mixture are commonly made from coal that has been impregnated with a catalyst for removing hydrogen sulphide.

Our doped activated carbons are a superior sustainable alternative that undergoes a doping process, freeing up the entire pore structure for rapid adsorption and high chargeability rate , making it a very cost effective sulphur (S) removal system.

REASONS FOR CHOOSING DOPED ACTIVATED CARBON

  • Absorber volumes and pressure drop are much lower than with conventional activated carbon.
  • Breakthrough expressed as a percentage of exit over initial H2S is substantially extended over normal activated carbon.
  • Can also be used for Siloxane and hydrocarbon adsorption.
  • Manufactured from renewable raw materials.
